I didn’t just want to work in care. I wanted to change how it felt.
I began my healthcare journey as a support worker while studying my Bachelor of Nursing.
Along the way, I found my passion in community care — the people, the relationships and those little moments that can make such a difference.
As a Registered Nurse, I gained experience across disability, mental health, aged care, palliative care and community nursing.
Working across both support and clinical care, I started noticing things that were sometimes overlooked, missed or simply not followed through.
I saw how important it was for support workers to have the right education, understanding and guidance — while still keeping care personal, not clinical.
That’s where the idea behind Union Care Australia began.
A nurse-led, family-owned provider built around genuine relationships, better communication and care that puts the person first.

So, care is genuinely close to home for us.
